ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN
We believe successful design solutions are the result of a comprehensive program that addresses conflicting elements of aesthetics, cost, durability and environmental responsibility.
LEAD CONSULTANT ROLE
At all stages of the project, we act as the Lead Consultant, coordinating design input of the other members of the design team. At the beginning of the job, we help the Client put together the Technical brief, outlining the requirements to the project.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Where required, we help the Client manage the project, or do it on their behalf. We normally prepare a detailed project programme,, monitor it and report to the Client on the progress. Project risks will be identified and managed.
CONSTRUCTION SERVICES
During the construction, we help oversee the building works on a regular basis, checking them for compliance with our design, answering the contractor’s queries and, if required, providing additional information. Upon completion, we help to inspect the works, prepare a list of defects and monitor their rectification.
CONSULTANCY
If you are considering buying a property or a site, we help you assess its condition and potential, research its planning history and advise on any limitations. For commercial clients, we assist in developing a quick concept – “feasibility study” – to estimate the future building’s parameters and development value.
INTERIOR DESIGN
We often collaborate with Interior Designers and have developed great working relationship with many leading London and international studios. However, on most projects we do the design ourselves, and have accumulated substantial in-house expertise in this area.
STATUTORY CONSENTS
Most building works require permissions from various authorities to be granted before they can go ahead. Depending on the extent of the work, the location and type of the property, it may be one or more of the following: Permitted Development, At the beginning of the project, we help always to advise the Client what consents and approvals may be required. In complex cases, we can recommend applying for a pre-planning advice before submitting a full planning application.
RECONSTRUCTION SERVICES
By evaluating a range of building methods and materials through our forensic engagements, our team possesses a unique advantage over traditional architecture firms when it comes to design reconstruction. Perhaps one of the most misunderstood and under-estimated disciplines in the architectural field is the area of Reconstruction Design and Construction. The inherent confinements within the reconstruction field present a set of special challenges.
QUALITY ASSURANCE
Lending our design and superior expertise to our waterproofing and quality assurance consulting services makes us a valuable third party during the construction process. In many cases, we foresee the development of deficiencies before they’re constructed or covered by subsequent finish materials. Our peer review services focus on identifying potential shortcomings of construction documents prior to breaking ground. This technical competency allows us to review drawings before construction even begins.
